School News – February

School News

After a strange and unexpected start to Term 3 we have settled into a new way of working.  We have been open to vulnerable children and children of critical workers since the 5th of January and we continue to support the learning of all children with our remote learning plan.

All children are encouraged to join the teachers in online live sessions, and this is both challenging and exciting for us all.  The challenges are far outweighed by the opportunity for the children to see their teacher and their friends online every day.

We have had a very kind Siddington resident donate some laptops to the school.  We will be getting these ready to send home to children to support them in their learning while they are unable to attend school.  We are hugely grateful.  This will really improve the opportunity for learning for many of the children at the school.  Thank you!

Our Value for the term is ‘Respect’.  There has never been a more important time to treat others with kindness and understanding even if we do not always agree with their point of view.  We will be exploring this with the children in online Worship sessions each week.

Should we need a little reminder of how school normally looks, I would recommend our new school video that can be viewed from the home page on our school website – www.siddington.gloucs.sch.uk.
