School News – October

School News, Uncategorized

It has been lovely to see the children and parents return to school and to begin our usual routines again. The children are playing and eating lunch together and we can come together in the hall for our daily act of Worship. It was great to hear the children saying what a wonderful summer they have had, and how excited they were to be back in school.

Over the summer there has been considerable works completed to the grounds of the school. This has included some improvements to our Forest School area and the painting of school buildings. The school site looks revitalised, and we are proud of our school and how welcoming it now looks.

The teachers came together on the training days to review the new policies that were put in place last year and to welcome our new teacher, Miss Briony Smith. We also have a new teaching assistant starting with us, so a big welcome too, to Mrs Jess Hunter. We are really excited to welcome them both to our team.

Our Value this term is Thankfulness. We will be exploring with the children how we show gratitude in practical ways and how we show thankfulness for things that we often take for granted.

Thank you to all those who contacted the school interested in supporting us as a school Governor. Our Chair of Governors will be in contact with all those that registered an interest. It was fantastic to see how much support the school has from the local community – thank you.

We are looking forward to a great start to the year and would welcome visits from any prospective parents and children. You may be new to the area or looking forward to next September when your child will start their school journey. Please contact the school office if you would like to book a visit to our school
