On 21st December 2021, Siddington Village Hall celebrates its 100th Birthday!
To mark this momentous occasion, we are celebrating with a Christmas Carol Concert on:
Tuesday 21st December 2021 from 6pm-8pm.
The celebration will include a rededication of the hall by Lord and Lady Bathurst. The Right Hon. Earl Bathurst, CMG, originally opened and dedicated Siddington Village Hall 100 years ago to the very day.
The Siddington Village Hall Committee warmly invites all villagers to attend and take part in fine voice! Homemade refreshments will be served afterwards.
Tell Us Your Tales
A lot has happened in those 100 years, and we would like to hear your memories…
As part of the centenary celebrations, we are putting together an archive of memories from the community regarding Siddington Village Hall.
Those weddings and birthday parties that have taken place at Siddington Village Hall, the dance classes and clubs – please send us your stories and photos! Stories your mum, dad, aunts, uncles, grandparents, or even great-grandparents may have shared with you about events they attended at the Hall, send them on. We’re only after a few short lines about the occasion you attended, the date of the visit (approximately!), who joined you, how the celebration made you feel and what that meant to you.
In particular, we are very keen to discover any stories and photos that your family may have featuring the original opening ceremony from December 1921.
Please send your memories to email@example.com. If you have photos that you do not wish to part with, even for a short period, we can arrange for them to be scanned at your convenience.
The memories and photos will be collated and displayed, as well as being kept for future generations to look back on.
We can’t wait to hear your happy memories!
Cancelled Speak Easy Party
It is with great regret that Siddington Village Hall’s 100th birthday celebration (the speakeasy, roaring 1920s party) planned for Saturday 20th November will no longer be going ahead.
The Christmas Carol Concert and Centenary Celebration will go ahead as planned on Tuesday 21st December from 6pm-8pm.
