School News – January 2023

School News

The PTA have continued to support our school in so many ways this year. They have funded school trips, and the coaches and ice creams at the pantomime at Cheltenham’s Everyman theatre (which we are looking forward to seeing in January). Each child receives a Siddington school cuddly bear when they join the Siddington family. A huge thank you from the staff, parents and children for all that they do.
I would also like to thank our Open the Book team who come in weekly to share stories from the Bible in a fun and interactive way.

It has been a busy year with many successes, not least our Good Ofsted inspection in July. Although school attainment data is not being published this year, we are also celebrating all of the hard work the children and teachers put in. Our year 6 pupils were not only ready for Secondary school but their SATS results showed that they had excelled in their attainment compared with other pupils nationally. Our standards in KS1 continue to be strong, showing that all pupils at the school are attaining well and making strong progress. Well done to all the staff and pupils for these outcomes.

We know that school isn’t all about Ofsted and exam results and so we are looking forward and planning how we can continue to make school fun and enriching for the children. Next year we have many more exciting trips and activities planned.
