Tiger, our new hamster, has been settling into school life. She has spent time in most of the classrooms and is looking forward to her first holiday with a Siddington family over Easter.
The reception, year 4 children have been to visit Butterfly World, Slimbridge and the Roman Baths. The year 5 and 6 children also came runners up in the Mock trials with special commendation certificates. Certificates included one for the winner of the poster competition and one for the best costume.
We were invited back to St. Peter’s Church for our annual Easter service. The children made a lovely banner as a gift to display inside St.Peter’s. Parents were invited to attend the Church service and have also been invited into school to spend some time in classrooms to look at the children’s work.
The school raised £161 for Comic relief. This saw the children dressing ‘in red or ready for bed’.
We would like to thank the Parish Council for funding an art project in school that will celebrate the King’s Coronation. We have two artists coming into school to work with the children to create an art instillation for the new hall. The Parish Council have also funded a gift for each pupil to commemorate this special event. A big thank you to them for their support.
